Welcome to the Commercial Real Estate Council of Hampton Roads! The Commercial Real Estate Council (CREC) is a professional organization that represents Commercial REALTORS® throughout Southeastern Virginia whose members specialize in selling and leasing commercial real estate. CREC provides networking opportunities and serves as a business partner disseminating news and information to all its members. CREC has been serving the needs of commercial professionals in Southeastern Virginia for over 35 years. CREC Associate members include Appraisers, Attorneys, Title Companies, Lenders, Developers, and other entities associated with commercial sales and leasing. For the amount of time CREC has been in existence, it certainly has grown quite a bit-with now over 300 members in 10 cities! CREC first started under the name Hampton Roads Council of Commercial and Industrial REALTORS® (HRCCIR), and was the commercial counterpart of Tidewater Association of REALTORS® (TAR). The HRCCIR was comprised of seven REALTOR® Associations. As times have changed, so has the commercial industry of Hampton Roads. A couple of name changes and some association merges led to what is now the Commercial Real Estate Council of Hampton Roads, the jurisdiction of which includes: Cities of Chesapeake, Franklin, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, Windsor; and the Counties of Accomack, Gloucester, Isle of Wight, James City, Mathews, Middlesex, North Hampton, and York, Virginia.
